Louise is a PhD candidate in Mathematics at the University of Wuppertal. Her research focuses on developing low-rank approximations for kernel-based methods, with a particular emphasis on randomized techniques. The aim of her work is to improve the efficiency and scalability of Gaussian processes and other kernel methods, enabling their application to large-scale problems.
She holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Bayreuth, where she specialized in high-dimensional optimization, partial differential equations, and optimization in machine learning.
